Effects

Composable with any theme. Effects marked heavy are skipped on the jukebox's own 640×480 screen — it is decoding audio and driving a display, and stutter beats aesthetics.

Nothing is downloaded automatically. Approving marks a request; searching Soulseek and choosing a file are separate steps, and only work on the jukebox's own network.

Playlist importing

One set of keys for the whole jukebox. Reading a public playlist is anonymous, so nothing runs under anyone's account — guests only paste a link. Stored on the jukebox at /etc/jukebox/import-keys.json; can only be set from this network.

Removals are quarantined on obelisk straight away. The library refresh and jukebox sync run once, when you apply them.

Quarantine

When the cap permanently deletes audio, a plain-text record of exactly what was lost — tags, original path, reason — is appended to ~/music-stack/quarantine-records/purged-tracks.log on obelisk. That file is never rotated or trimmed.
